The event forms part of the commemoration of the 5th Magallanes-Elcano Centenary and will take place with both participants attending and virtually on 18, 19 and 20 September in Seville.

It will focus on three main blocks: social innovation, entrepreneurship and the creation of value in emerging spaces in Spain, Portugal and on the Ibero-American continent.

At the same time, it aims to serve as a place for debate and reflection on the consequences arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.

ACCIONA Producciones y Diseño (APD) is participating in the design and attendance implementation of the 1st Ibero-American Congress on Social Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Creation of Value in Emerging Spaces, 5th Magallanes-Elcano Centenary, which will be held on 18, 19 and 20 September in the Barceló Sevilla Renacimiento Hotel.

Specifically, APD has created the corporate image for the congress and its application in the various supports and areas of the event, such as: stage, signage elements, decoration, furniture, posters, etc., and its adaptation to various communication formats. It has also been responsible for developing the spatial implementation and for the technical equipment necessary for holding the event.

The event will take place with both participants attending and virtually and serve as a meeting point in which projects will be presented based on three main blocks: social innovation, entrepreneurship and the creation of value in emerging spaces in Spain, Portugal, and Ibero-America. Leaders and heads of between 150 and 250 projects are expected to participate.

The 1st International Social Innovation Congress forms part of the official programme of activities designed to commemorate the 5th Centenary of the first voyage around the world of Fernando Magallanes and Juan Sebastián ElCano. The new world that arose after the historical expedition made by Magallanes and Elcano will serve as inspiration and the starting point for promoting and disseminating social strategies at the event that are considered necessary for surviving and adapting to the new era that will come after the pandemic. The congress will also focus on analysing the strategies that aim to tackle globalisation through the development of economic activities and alternative more efficient and sustainable social projects.

The Ibero-American Social Innovation Congress has been designed following the safety measures recommended by the Ministry of Health. To this end, APD’s experience in the organisation of events at a world scale will play a key role in guaranteeing the safety of those attending the congress.
